Joel Farrell, Chair; Peter Greene, Valerie Smothers, Dan Rehak, James Fiore

The first item on the agenda was the rest services guidelines. Joel commented that there were just a few editorial changes left to make. He added that we want to get the community a chance to review the document and indicate whether topics need to be added. He encouraged Valerie to see if Carl had anything to add.

Valerie commented that the relevant illustration of rest navigation was yet to be included in the document. James commented that the Zimba groupware server has some examples of using navigation for different formats. He offered to send the documentation to Valerie.

Joe commented that the next step would be to send the document to consortium members and get their comments. He asked Peter to think about who would be likely consumers. If the reviewers provide feedback, but bring that back to the group. JB in Rachel's teams would be good reviewers.

Peter asked James if there were any new developments at the board of surgery with regards to the American College of Surgeons. James replied that he and Howard Tanzman are working on the exchange of CME data. They already exchange operative data using a format much simpler than the standard. He would like them to develop this further. Peter offered to broach the subject at the upcoming college meeting.

The technical steering committee then when into a closed session with Dan and Joel. Minutes of the closed session will be published at a later time.
